“The foundation has deemed it fit to acknowledge, celebrate and appreciate our gallant traffic controllers; men and women who have shown dedication and commitment to their duties and service to the nation.

“Many will feel that they are merely doing their jobs, but these are men and women who have families but have spent most of their time and energy on our roads ensuring orderliness and safety of road users.

“These are fellow Nigerians whose duties expose them to risk of motor or other forms of road accidents.

“These are Nigerians who most times do not have time for self-development nor do they have other businesses than controlling traffic.

“This year’s hamper give away project is also to encourage other well-to-do Nigerians to support our traffic controllers as encouragement and appreciation for their selflessness in discharging their duties in service of our dear country Nigeria,” Israel Ibeleme, founder of the foundation stated.

Speaking at the event at the police command in Abuja, ACP Nurudeen Sabo, urged those not selected to work hard to be selected next time.

He also urged the foundation to maintain the tempo, urging Nigerians to emulate the gesture.

“We need more people from the community. We need more people like you in society,” he said.
